There was an interesting New Year tradition in Tbilisi. Holiday with public celebrations and walking, it was celebrated with various events. It is the same way nowadays, however some of the traditions disappeared. In old times, habitants of Tbilisi were leaving their house doors open, because it was considered, that happiness might have come by the door and if the doors were closed it would walk by the house without stepping in it.
